Omit or exclude tags

Hi Patrick,

You need something that will make the top level menu item links unique, so you can target just them. Right now, there isn't anything unique, so the sub-menu links are being replaced as well. Can you change your menu module template, so only the top level menu items have an unique class on the a element? Then you can use that class to target the top level menu items.

I don't remember seeing anything in the Cufon documentation about being able to untarget a selector. But, you can review the Cufon documentation and see if you can find anything about that. They also have a forum that you could post a help request in. This might be a limitation/feature of Cufon.

Laurelle.

Thanks for the quick response. When I use li.parent a, it does not replace item1 or item106, so the specificity is working. However, all of the submenu items are still replaced and adding span, unfortunately, has no effect.

Hi Patrick,

Glad you like the plugin.

What you will need to do is get more specific in your css selectors that you use. Try:

li.parent a, li.active a, li.item106 a,li.item1 a

instead of: ul#menu

You might need the span in the selector as well, ie li.parent a span, etc.

Hope that helps,
Laurelle

Hi, I'm loving this plugin, thank you!

Only thing is I can't figure out how to NOT replace a font on submenu items when applied to a ul#menu . The site is at 67.225.169.216/~meri/

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks,
Patrick
